Public invited to Veterans Honor Flight send-off event in Cape Giradeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Plans are underway for a special send-off event for veterans and their guardians participating in a Veterans Honor Flight, and you’re invited.

VFW Post 3838, in partnership with The Wake Foundation, is hosting the event on Thursday, March 27 at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. The event starts at 9:45 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.

Organizers say there will be a moving procession organized by the Avenue of Flags, patriotic songs sung by the Clippard Elementary Choir and community tributes expressing heartfelt thanks.
